Music Therapy Services

I offer individual music therapy sessions for hospice and palliative care patients of all ages, which may include:

  • Singing favorite or calming songs at bedside

  • Processing memories, emotions, and imagery evoked through music

  • Songwriting for emotional closure, legacy, and life review

  • Improvisational music experiences to foster connection, presence, and shared meaning

  • Listening to music and exploring the personal meaning of lyrics and imagery

I also offer group music therapy sessions for older adults and senior communities to:

  • Bring moments of joy and connection to uplift group members

  • Reduce loneliness and isolation

  • Foster community connection and reminiscence

  • Support movement and physical engagement

  • Provide moments of respite and joy for care staff

In addition, I offer adaptive and therapeutic music lessons for people living with disabilities or medical conditions who wish to experience the empowerment, agency, and fulfillment of making music themselves. These offerings may include:

  • Adaptive music lessons

  • Songwriting

  • Improvisational music experiences

Support for the Cultural Aspects of Musical Identity

I am honored to support clients in engaging with music from their own cultural background, spiritual tradition, family history, and childhood. Music often carries deep personal and cultural meaning, and I view clients and families as the experts and carriers of the music that has shaped their lives.

Whether through playing familiar songs, listening to music from specific spiritual or religious traditions, or engaging with musical genres tied to place and community, I strive to create musical experiences that feel authentic, affirming, empowering, and deeply meaningful.

Scope and Limitations of Services

This work is offered as supportive, music-based care and is not intended as a replacement for psychotherapy, medical treatment, or other mental health services.

Individual music therapy sessions are typically $80/hour plus tax.

Rates may vary depending on setting, frequency, and care needs, and I’m happy to discuss options that feel sustainable and appropriate for your needs.
